Yeah, It’s Fall…

Summer made its appearance for about about a week and now fall has busted on through.? Although I prefer barefeet to my fuzzy socks, I do welcome colorful mums, foliage and picking apples straight off the tree.? With school back in full swing, it is important to find time with friends that we no longer share schedules with.? Living in the Hudson Valley, there is a plethora of apple orchards to visit and enjoy.? That is what we did this past week at Hurd’s Farm in New Paltz with some of our friends.? I have been here a couple times before, but going during the week, and the rain, seems to be the way to go.? We had the place to ourselves.? Now I just need someone to teach me to cook an apple pie.

Lots and Lots of Goodies…

The Grand Opening party is only a week and a half away.? I was able to score some great goodies for some giveaways including an overnight stay at the Hilton in Holyoke MA, nice and close to Six Flags!? One of my favorite goodies I have scored,? has to “bee” one of my favorites so far.? Everyday I am trying to be as green as can be with my business.? From album option right down to my packaging.? So when an old high school friend of mine and his lovely wife told me he would hook me up with some of there “Bee Easy” bags, I was beyond thrilled.? Now that I have my hands on these little bags, not to sure I really want to let go.? Be sure to check out their website and if you want to get you hands on one of these baby’s, be sure to come to my party ;)

Back To School…

I love that Staples commercial with the dad dancing down the isle to the song, “Its the most wonderful time of the year…..” as he tosses school supplies into his shopping cart, followed my his 2 pouty kids.?? Of course, I have a kid who loves school, so he was just as excited to go back as I was.? Kieran on the other hand was not too trilled leaving Brayden behind.? He wanted his buddy.? Just like many other kiddies, our back to school prep stared with a new cut at Allure Hair Salon in Highland.? While there, we got a first look at the new “Save The Date” postcard for Hudson Fest.? We also got a glimpse at the posters hanging at most stores through out town.

The first day of school, Brayden picked out his favorite Dino shirt as well as bag.? He walked right into school and got straight to work.? Time is going by too quick, Kieran will be there before I know it.

Hometown Visit…

Somers, as a teenager, was boring town to grow up in. But now that I have a family, I wouldn’t mind raising my kids there.? You know, so they could be bored too.? To complete my trip to New England, I met up with one of my oldest friends from high school, his lovely wife and their adorable baby girl.? I originally met little miss “L” when she was only weeks old, so to see her taking a couple steps when I arrived at her door, it makes you realize how quickly time goes by.? I was excited to shoot at the location that we did since I have been eying it with every visit home.? ? And as you can tell by the last photo, I grew up in a small town ;)

Erin and Jacob’s Wedding-Oakham, Ma

Those who attending the wedding of Erin and Jacob, were apart of? a true treat.? This is one of the most fun and organic weddings I have ever been apart of.? And I can honestly say, of all the weddings I have been to in my life, I have never seen a bride who glowed? as much as she did.? Erin has a contagious laugh and smile that could brighten anyone’s day.? And I hope we are all lucky enought to have our significant other looks at us the way Erin and Jacob were looking at one another.

And the bridal party was just a dream.? Mr and Mrs Murphy were so lucky to have a party that not only loved them, but were also a blast.? They all made my job a dream and were fun to be around. In fact, you may recongine the matron of honor, her wedding photo is rotating in my blog header.

The wedding itself took place on Jacob’s family tree farm.? The bride walked down the isle with each of her brothers and then her father, who gave her away to her groom.?? The ceremony included a blessing of the rings by all the guests of? the wedding.? When the ceremony was complete, the guests were treated to a cocktail hour right on the farm.

The reception took place at the Salem Cross Inn, a beautiful restaurant sounded by 600 acres of meadows.?? We had much fun taking photos there!

I again want to thank Erin and Jacob for having me be apart of their special day.? It was a true honor and I really felt like apart of the family for a day.? May your life be filled with much love and happiness!
