Boys vs Girls…

This was my 4th time photographing this family, they have been with me since day one. In fact, their holiday photo from last year was one of my all time favorites.? Last year we had a bit of an urban shoot, this year we had a nice change in venue and hit the country.? When we pulled up to this farm with long rock walls,? several ponds, and wooden fences accented by a beautiful blue sky, I went into creative overload.?? The weather couldn’t have been any more perfect considering our original session date was rained out.??? Thanks again Sharon!

Return Of The Baby Mohawk…

Except, he doesn’t have his mohawk anymore.? This little cutie pie was my first session of 2009 and he was sporting the best baby mohawk ever.? No longer a baby, this little guy just turned one years old.? I have to say, those big brown eyes made my job a dream.? He was completely the center of attention of the streets of Cold Spring where people stopped and watched him in all his cuteness.?? Thank you again to Born Lucky for the door usage :)

Sisters….

It has been almost 2 years since I last saw little Miss V.? I first met her when I photographed her 1st birthday party.? Now, she is a big sister to little Miss “A,”? the happiest baby on earth.? Her mom wasn’t kidding when she said she was full of big smiles.? Miss “V” wanted to run around the yard and play piano, but showed me? she has a stunning serious look.

Pure “BLISS”…

I have had such a wonderful response to these Bliss Boxes since I introduced them, not only from my clients but from other photographers as well.? The company which printed the box as well as the designer of the borders and layouts, featured my photos on their blogs.? My email was flooded from photographers wanting to know how to get their hands on one.? Even my husband asked for one for Christmas.

This Bliss Box was dropped off on my door step this week and I know mommy is just going to love this.? I am excited for her since this was one of my favorite sessions of the summer.? I might have to print one for my office.? For my brides, I have a new line coming special just for you!

Pumpkin Picking, In the Snow?

Well, almost.? We missed the snow by just a day.? I love the colors of the fall, but could pass on the feel of frost bit fingers.? Our preschool headed out for their annual pumpkin and apple picking field trip. Unfortunatly the weather was so chilly, we cut the trip a wee bit short.? My cold red hands found warmth and comfort at home with a nice warm mocha and some cute photos of all the kiddies…

This Is For Dad…

Some of you might recognize one of the sisters from this family shoot, she is the lovely Beth of Elizabeth Boutique in Poughkeepsie.? She booked me about 3 months ago to do this family shoot of her brothers and sister for a Christmas gift for their dad.

I met her family out in Clinton Corners at this great little restaurant called Wild Hive Farm.? If you can’t make it out to Clinton Corners to check it out, Adams in Poughkeepsie carries their goodies too, but I do suggest you make the trip. Thank you to the family for taking the time to hang with me for an hour and being just a tad goofy.? And if you know this families dad, don’t tell him you saw his kids here ;) ?? I do want to quickly mention, this is the 3rd “secret” photoshoot I have done for a Dad.? Doesn’t anyone want to surprise Mom?

I want to thank this family as well as my blog readers and clients for being patient with me this week as I was battling some more server issues.? A nice change is coming my way and hopefully we will never see these problems again on my site again. -Melissa
