A Long Time In The Making…

Each year, holiday sessions book several months in advance.  Last year this momma wasn’t able to get a holiday spot, so she booked me a year in advance (very smart move ;) ).   Several months ago, mommy contacted me again and asked if we could postpone their shoot a couple weeks, as they were expecting baby #2.  Of course, I always love me a sweet itty bitty baby!  So here we are, a year after we originally booked and we have us a fresh little man. Don’t worry mommy, the blanket is fine, poop washes out :)

I like this one because he looks like he is dancing.  There was no keeping his arms swaddled.

One Proud Family…

Thanksgiving is a time of gratitude and appreciation for what we have, and those who are special to us.  It is a time in which most families, near and far, come together to celebrate a special feast.  This Thanksgiving, the “S” family came together to not only enjoy a dinner, but also to spoil a special little girl with lots of love.  She was certainly the center of attention and very much the apple of Grandma’s eyes.  I hope little Miss and her parents had a safe ride home to Maryland.

Best Holiday Card…

When meeting with my client to do her holiday order, I thought this was a funny concept.   I am thrilled she and her husband are going with it.  I wish I could be a fly on the wall when their friends and  family open their cards.

Margaret & Scott-Engaged…

I was a lucky gal to spend the afternoon with a  super sweet, young couple in love.  I swear I could see little hearts in the specks of their eyes.  We were originally set to shoot at the Poughkeepsie Train station main entrance, but big orange barriers and construction put a stop to that.  Lucky for us,  there are many hip urban places to shoot in the area.  I really enjoyed the hour I spent with Margaret and Scott.  If they are glowing half as much on their wedding day as they were today, my job photographing their wedding will be super easy.  I am just bummed I have to wait another 7 months.

Finally!!!!!!!

I can’t share how excited that my new website is FINALLY up.  Technology had the best of me,  my site and blog were up and down over the past 3 weeks while some wonderful techs who understand the terms like “Database ” and  “MySQL,”  figured out all the technical difficulties they were having launching my new site.  Well, all seems good and please run over and check it out!

Bros…

Blue eyes, red hair… what a combo these two brothers were.  They were all about doing the boy thing, playing rocks, talking trains and eating lollipops.  Lucky for me I came packing, with 2 pops in my bag.  It is amazing how a little bribery can go a long way.   What is also amazing is the jewelery mom was wearing today.  She had on a rockin red necklace that I just have to have, in blue :)   In fact, she made it herself and I just might have to get my hands on one.  You can check out her wedding jewelery in my office or on her site:  My Sis Designs.  You can see her everyday where on her Facebook Fan Page.
