HOTNESS!!! That’s all I need to say!
I love to give myself a project. My projects are a way for me to step outside of my box and to have some good creative fun. Earlier last year, I had someone send me an email and asked if I would ever consider doing a Pin Up Girl shoot. Let me think, “HECK YA!” I have eyeying Pin Up for sometime and jumped on the idea. I got my team on board and off we went.
What I love about Pin Up, is that curves are SOOOOO welcome. I know body image can be a sensitive issue, I constantly hear, “When I lose 20 lbs, I am so doing that.” Pin Up embraces curves and helps us LOVE what we got. Marylyn Monroe was a Pin Up girl, and a size 10.
I of course, had a wonderful team behind me: Bella Luci Salon provided hair and make-up, and Karma Lounge, my hidden gem, provided the location. The ladies provided their wardrobe, and did a killer job!
I look forward to doing this again soon!!
Once again I was honored to be featured on Best Hudson Valley Weddings Ever. Boudoir, done SP style, is for any woman, of any age, any size, any comfort level. Trust me, your significant other will love you only more for it!
A couple of years ago, I did a meet up with bunch of photog friends from across the country, at Kristen Kalps studio in Philadelphia, PA. There I got my first peek at Kylene Cleaver working her boudoir magic. Over the past 2 years I watched her, through the wonderful world of the internet, expand and grow to be one of the best boudoir photographers I have ever seen. Her stuff is is classy, tasteful and just simply beautiful. On a recent blog post she mentioned she was now offering “Mentoring.” Ummmm, all over that!! I am the type of person, if I am going to learn, I am going to learn from the best and that she is.
So this past weekend I hoped in the car and took a one day trip to Philly. Lucky for me, I had a mentoring session to me, myself and I. We had some beautiful and brave models, who dealt with some frigid weather conditions. The black winged angel was a true trooper, being outside in her undies, in 35 degree weather and a wind chill that made it feel like 10. Art is painful sometimes.
I am so excited to be offering boudoir as apart of the Surprise Photography experience. More details to come!
Our boudoir mini sessions, an event to raise money for the American Heart Association, was a huge success. It was ladies night, we sipped wine, enjoyed some chocolate treats from Crave and had some great laughs. Some ladies walked in a bit nervous about the experience, not knowing what to expect, but all left saying of “Heck YA,” I just did that! Some came in for their husbands, some for their boyfriends and some even came to do it for them self. Thank you again ladies for a wonderful evening. I had such a great response, we will be doing it again. Stay tuned for details.
