Two Princes, Hudson Valley Newborn Photographer…

A couple months ago I met up with this family to photograph their maternity photos, now they are proud to introduce baby boy #2 into their family.  What a little darling he is with his full head of hair.  And with another prince in the house, mommy still remains Queen of her castle.

Last week I got to meet with this beautiful family who is expecting their 2nd baby in the next couple of weeks.  Daddy had contacted me about a surprise gift for his wife, so they can document the welcoming of their son into their family.  When I showed up the shoot, I looked at mommy and thought, hey I know you.  We happened to be at the same party a couple weeks ago, talking about her sweet baby bump then too.  Small world.

The day was gorgeous and they brought me to a great new shooting location.  I love when older siblings come to shoots, it is like having a built in shooting assistant.  Keep tuned in, baby boy will be here very soon!

One Glowing Mommy To Be, Hudson Valley Maternity Photographer…

I have worked with many beautiful mommies to be, and they all had that “Glow.”  But I have to say, the “GLOW” of this mommy just radiated and lite the sky.    When this baby girl comes into this world, she is going to be so loved and is going to have some fantastic parents.  Like all babies, she is such a blessing and we haven’t even met her yet.  I feel honored that they picked me to be apart of such a wonderful gift they are going to give to their daughter, the documentation of her welcoming into this world.  Thank you for that and thank you for a wonderful morning at Mohonk Mountain House.

On a side note, when I was 8 month pregnant with Clinton, I treated myself to an afternoon at the Mohonk Mountain House Spa, it is a must do for any momma in waiting!

No Fear, Hudson Valley Maternity Photographer

We all have some kind of  fears or phobias in our life.  Mine, any spider, even the itty bitty ones and the dentist.  What is daddy to be’s fear you ask?  Me, the 5 foot 2 chick with the camera. I have a camera, he has a drill.  Ok, only joking. In the end, we agreed that  there should be no fear but we do disagree on our baseball teams (Go SOX).

Anyway, this great couple is weeks away from inviting their first son into the world. I know what you are thinking, where is the belly????   There were many of times I had to tell her to stick that baby out.  She does pregnancy so well and looks great doing it too.  Kind of makes me want to give it one last run……nahhhh.  Three is enough.

Thank you again for a wonderful Sunday afternoon.  I hope you both can make it up to Rhinebeck again for the full tour.  I will see you guys soon during your overnight stay at VBMC :)

Love The Name, Hudson Valley Newborn Photographer

Why do I say that, because this little sweetie pie shares the same name as one of my precious little, crazy boys.  You might recognize this family, they have been on my blog many of times.   I have been so lucky to watch them grow before my very eyes. This past weekend I got the pleasure of photographing sweet 5 day old baby brother as well as having some fun play time with big bro, who is spitting image of daddy as well as big sister, mommy’s mini me.  As always, such a pleasure to work with this family!

Washington Slept Here, Hudson Valley Maternity Photographer…

The morning I was getting ready to head to this session, there wasn’t a cloud and the sky and it was a beautiful shade of blue.  The day before it was almost 60 degrees, so it is going the same today right.  As soon as I took my first step out the door, I was slammed with the reality that winter was still hanging around.  The wind chill made the air feel like it was frozen.  Yes, frozen air.   The house we shot at was an amazing historic home located in Hopewell Junction. It is very much lived in, but at the same time you feel like you are walking into the Colonial Era.  I was a bit afraid to touch anything but was lucky enough to get a tour.  Yes, I was being a little nosy but the history and decor of the home was so amazing.  Come to find out, George Washington stayed in one of the rooms of this home.  As I was leaving, I had a minor heart attach when I knocked over a churn.  Thank god they made things of sold wood back in the day and it was fine.

As for our expanding family, I have been lucky to hang with momma and son at Waddle n Swaddle on several occasions.   I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph their maternity/newborn sessions, as I have also photographed their friends baby last year.  Big brother was a man on a mission, to find the cat.  We got a little camera time with him, but there is no holding a toddler, on the hunt, back.   I have to also thank mom and dad for braving the cool, crisp air and heading outside for a couple shots.  Can’t wait to meet baby!!!
