Some might expect for me to say that I am expecting, but for those who know me know better LOL. So whats the “BIG NEW?” …..I am opening a studio! I have been working on this for the past couple months and I can finally let the cat out of the bag. I have taken baby steps with this business as it has grown, so that I could enjoy not only my photography, but my family as well. With Elizabeth Boutique moving to its new building, it opened the door for me to take over her old space. Best part, I don’t have to leave the Waddle n Swaddle building and I will continue to be apart of the wonderful Arlington Business district.
I will continue to be an on location shooter for portraits, however I will be photographing all newborns and boudoir sessions here. I am so excited for the next step in my business and hopefully we will be fully up and running by the end of the year. Thank you again for all those who supported me in this awesome venture!
When it comes to proofing sessions, my clients find the ability to see their portraits at various sizes, a key to finding the perfect way to display their custom art in their home. Being that many are use to 4×6 prints, the thought of a 8×10 on their wall seems like a poster, in reality their image can get really lost on their wall. Projecting portrait images, to scale, on their own wall is key to making the perfect size selection. Notice how the 5×7 looks like a wallet print.
Custom wall displays make a bold impact on any room, especially canvas. I LOVE me some canvas.

Digging through my three different hard drives, I 1) can’t believe how fast this year went by and 2) feel so luck to have had such a wonderful year. Each year seems to get bigger and better, I hope this never ends. I am so lucky to have had such a wonderful group of clients to work with this year and thankful they you all spread the word about Surprise Photography. New this holiday season, ornament cards. For those who like something a little bit different and are trying to upstage their holiday card from the year before. These cards are 5×5 round and are printed on a fine art linen paper. Holiday sessions are fully booked, but these cards will be available as announcements, save the dates, and thank you cards as well.
