Last week I got to meet with this beautiful family who is expecting their 2nd baby in the next couple of weeks.  Daddy had contacted me about a surprise gift for his wife, so they can document the welcoming of their son into their family.  When I showed up the shoot, I looked at mommy and thought, hey I know you.  We happened to be at the same party a couple weeks ago, talking about her sweet baby bump then too.  Small world.

The day was gorgeous and they brought me to a great new shooting location.  I love when older siblings come to shoots, it is like having a built in shooting assistant.  Keep tuned in, baby boy will be here very soon!

In Memory…

This past week I lost I lost someone very important to me, my Uncle Dennis.  He wasn’t only just an Uncle, but he was also my protector.  Being the only girl with a plethora of boy cousins, needless to say, it was very difficult to introduce any boys to my family.   Lucky for me, Jesse was approved and my Uncle even gave a speech at my wedding.   He left behind a loving family of 3 boys, 10 grandchildren and his wife of 39 years.

Uncle Dennis, you will be so missed.

I have worked with many beautiful mommies to be, and they all had that “Glow.”  But I have to say, the “GLOW” of this mommy just radiated and lite the sky.    When this baby girl comes into this world, she is going to be so loved and is going to have some fantastic parents.  Like all babies, she is such a blessing and we haven’t even met her yet.  I feel honored that they picked me to be apart of such a wonderful gift they are going to give to their daughter, the documentation of her welcoming into this world.  Thank you for that and thank you for a wonderful morning at Mohonk Mountain House.

On a side note, when I was 8 month pregnant with Clinton, I treated myself to an afternoon at the Mohonk Mountain House Spa, it is a must do for any momma in waiting!

Since the creation of Facebook’s Fan Page, the sneak peek has been always been posted there on our home page.  The upload and sharing process became much easier to share a couple images before the full blog post was published.  Well, over the past couple days FB hasn’t been my friend and won’t allow me to upload photos.  So we had to do what happens when technology fails us, we go back to doing things the old fashion way, blog first :)    This past weekend we had the weather toying with us but our 2nd annual Mother’s Day mini sessions were a success.  Everything ran  completely smooth and on time.   The kids had a blast and the mommy’s were treated to a wonderful gift, fresh from our Groovy Baker friend, who I have to note was just featured in the recent issue of Hudson Valley Magazine.  I have to mention, I do find it funny although this is a gift for mommy and would be a nice surprise from the daddy’s, all the mommys booked the sessions.  Do we not trust our significant other to get it right?? LOL!

Congratulations to Natasha and Matthew!!! Many more images to come.

Meet the Knapp Family.  You might recognize the name from previous posts on my blog.  Momma Knapp is the creator of the famous Knapp Sack.  I spent a sunny Saturday morning with her and her family at a beautiful historic site in Columbia County.  It is a location I have been eying but haven’t been to until now.  I kept my eyes wide open while driving and I am already geeked up to go back to that neck of the woods and photograph some fresh new grounds.  We had a blast with the kiddies touring the grounds and dancing to the Gummy Bear Song.  Thank you Momma Knapp for the wonderful suggestion and thank you Knapp family for so much fun!
