Baby Girl #3…

A couple weeks back I met with this beautiful momma and her girls for a maternity shoot at their home.  A month later, we now have a new star of the show, baby girl #3.  I got a glimpse of what life with 3 kids is going to be like when we welcome our 3rd boy this summer, complete love an joy with a dose of  craziness.   Of course, it is all worth it.  One of my favorite parts of doing a newborn shoot, is getting my hands on these tiny little babies.  It is very time consuming but I love every minute I get to hold one of these sweet and tiny little babies only days old.

Mother’s Day Minis…

I hope all the moms out there had a wonderful Mother’s Day!  2 weeks ago I had the pleasure of treating some moms to a special present with mini sessions at Vassar College. Some were a surprise, some were not, either way, Mom won!  This was the first time I have offered mini sessions and being that it sold out in just 2-3 days, it was a great success.  The sessions ran super smooth and the kiddies were just great. I saw some familiar faces, and got to meet some new ones as well.  I even had some visitors from Connecticut.  It was an overall great afternoon and I look forward to doing it again next year!

A Little Bit Country, A Little Bit Rock n Roll…

Recently I met up with this cool little man who is basically a clone of my son Kieran in almost every way.  Beautiful long bland hair, blue eyes, very curious,  full energy and a love for cookies.   We did a urban photoshoot at one of my favorite locations, followed by some shots at a local campus for a more country like setting.  I have to say, he held up pretty well considering the day before he partied like a mini rock star in celebration of his 2nd birthday and during the shoot when the sun came out, it got hot.

A lot of people ask me what I do to blue eyes to make them look so blue.  Honestly,  really nothing.  When you catch that light off right those beautiful blues, the work is done for me.

The Secret Session…

A couple weeks ago, I met with a sweet little man and his Daddy. The first time I photographed this little guy was when he was just 1 day old.  When he was 2 weeks, we did his newborn shoot. It was the first and only time a baby has ever peed on my camera.  Watch those naked baby pictures :)   We met up this past month for a surprise session for mommy for Mother’s Day.   This little guy is too sweet and easy to photograph.  In fact, this session was so swift and smooth, it inspired me to do the Mother’s Day mini sessions we held this past weekend.   And now that Mommy has her pictures in hand, I can now share some of my favorites with you.

Happy Mother’s Day Sarah!!!!
