There are only a couple weeks a year we get to enjoy the beautiful white flowers that bloom on the campus of Vassar College, so when they do you have to run at the change to shoot there. This is my 2nd go around with this family. The first shoot was a surprise for dad, this time he was able to hang with us. And of course you can’t forget the dog, what a great pup, center of one of my favorite family pictures.
Recently I was invited to join two sisters and their minis for a morning in the garden. Being that these cousins live on opposite ends of the coast from one another, it was a special treat to watch these two dolls play together. Needless to say, the camera loved them and they loved the camera.
I pretty much offered mommy a job on the spot. Baby “M” was pretty awake and she wanted a shot of baby in the bucket, not an easy to do with an awake baby. She tells me, “give me a couple minutes.” Within 5 minutes that baby was out! Pretty impressive baby sleeping skills. Question is, does that work at night?
I should know everyone at Vassar Brother’s Hospital for as much time as I spent there the past couple of months. 24 hours young is one of my favorite sessions because I get to experience new love, the love between a parent and their baby. You never know how much you love someone until you have a baby. And being that this is one of the sweetest couples I know, this little boy will see plenty of it.
What an great morning I had with Baby “O,” his brother and parents. Some of my favorite newborn photos. The top photo was taken when baby “O” was snoozing away and as I was picking up some blankets off the floors, I looked at him and just loved how the light just glistened off his skin. Light + baby foot = Happy Sigh……………
I had the joy of once again teaming up with this beautiful family to document the welcoming of their new baby boy. When mommy mentioned shooting at the CIA I thought, yeah I can convince the pregnant lady to go get fresh cupcakes with me. I was so excited to finally get to the school bakery when it was actually open, however lines were too long and we were denied {Sniff Sniff}.
