Baby Grayson, Dutchess County Newborn Photographer…

I have been documenting the welcoming of this little boy since he was in the womb.  I photographed him in the the hospital on Thanksgiving morning, just hours after being born.   Now it was time for his newborn shoot.  I do have to admit, I am a little jealous of this little guy, he has a flat screen TV in his room. I think I was 13 before I got a TV in my room.  And like I previously mentioned, this little guy is SOOOOOO loved by his mommy and daddy.  They can’t take their eyes off of him, so sweet.  I truly enjoyed following this little guys entrance into the world.  I hope to see him again when he turns one.

Baby Beech Tree…

I was excited when I got a phone call from a dad to be who wanted to buy a special gift for his wife for her birthday.  He had been referred to me by a friend, for my “Welcoming Me” collection.  As we were talking on the phone, I found out he was the owner of Beech Tree Grill, a great restaurant down the street from my office and a place I have frequented many of times for drinks and dinner with my girls.

Hanging with these too was too chill and relaxing to be considered work.  We first met up at their home for a couple snap shots with daddy’s first baby, his Harley.  Then we headed to one of my favorite spots in Poughkeepsie for some urban shots.  To my surprise, one of the alley’s got a mural make over.  Very fun.

While waiting for pics of  baby girl, be sure to swing by Beech Tree Grill for a tasty dinner and drinks.

Tick Tock, Tick Tock..

Any day now I am expecting a phone call from this awesome couple telling me they are on their way to bring their first baby into this world. Well, maybe I should correct myself, their first human baby.  As you can see they brought one of their four legged babies with them to their maternity shoot. Puppies make the greatest accessories.  I have been photographing a lot of  “man’s best friend” lately and I am so not complaining. I love dogs.  Of course, when I get home I get the sniff down from my two.

I hope you two are resting and taking it easy.  I look forward to seeing you again, the next time as parents!

Field Of Dreams…

Yes, it has been a long week between blog posts.  The past week has been a blur, filled with 5 shoots, party planning and of course, lots of being mommy.  Speaking of mommy, I first met this mommy to be a year ago, by random chance, when walking back from the Grand Illuminations Celebration of the Walkway Over The Hudson.  I was walking next to her an noticed her shootsac.  We started talking and I gave her my card.  A couple months back she contacted me about doing her maternity and newborn photos.  We finally met again last week for our shoot and had the perfect evening sun.   Sunflowers and mountains made for the perfect backdrop.

I am grateful that she was willing to drive up from New Jersey to meet me since it is hard to travel too far from baby Clinton right now.  I am also grateful that we did our shoot when we did, the next day I got an email that her water broke.  Coming soon, newborn photos!

I took advantage of my time amongst the sunflowers to play with my macro lens

New Product, Image Folio…

I have been looking into some great new products to include with my product line.  I have some great samples that I am dying to show off, but first I am going to show you you this great image folio, a modern way to put your images on display.   This folio is not only great for my clients, but they would make great gifts for new grandparents or the parents of the bride and groom. Image folios include a custom photographic cover and are complete with two image panels on the inside left and right.   I saw this and I had to whip up a sample for my studio, my Clinton being the featured model of course.

She Beat Me To The Finish Line…

You might remember when I posted the maternity session of this beautiful momma to be and her hubby almost 2 months ago.  I actually ran into momma a week ago at the Drs office and I was convinced  that I was going to beat her to the punch.  Well, I was wrong.   Her little man came into the world first and on a wonderful day, my birthday :)   Momma looks beyond fantastic for just having a baby 24 hours before these photos were taken, Daddy was all smiles and baby has a beautiful head of hair.  Congrats to the newest addition of your family and now that you guys are checking out of Vassar, I will be more than happy to check in.
