Washington Slept Here, Hudson Valley Maternity Photographer…

The morning I was getting ready to head to this session, there wasn’t a cloud and the sky and it was a beautiful shade of blue.  The day before it was almost 60 degrees, so it is going the same today right.  As soon as I took my first step out the door, I was slammed with the reality that winter was still hanging around.  The wind chill made the air feel like it was frozen.  Yes, frozen air.   The house we shot at was an amazing historic home located in Hopewell Junction. It is very much lived in, but at the same time you feel like you are walking into the Colonial Era.  I was a bit afraid to touch anything but was lucky enough to get a tour.  Yes, I was being a little nosy but the history and decor of the home was so amazing.  Come to find out, George Washington stayed in one of the rooms of this home.  As I was leaving, I had a minor heart attach when I knocked over a churn.  Thank god they made things of sold wood back in the day and it was fine.

As for our expanding family, I have been lucky to hang with momma and son at Waddle n Swaddle on several occasions.   I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph their maternity/newborn sessions, as I have also photographed their friends baby last year.  Big brother was a man on a mission, to find the cat.  We got a little camera time with him, but there is no holding a toddler, on the hunt, back.   I have to also thank mom and dad for braving the cool, crisp air and heading outside for a couple shots.  Can’t wait to meet baby!!!

Lucky & Sister, Hudson Valley Newborn Photographer…

You might recall earlier this year when I posted about Lucky the dog and his humans.  We met for a maternity session down on Main  in Beacon on a nice snowy day.  Weeks have gone by,  baby is now here and Lucky has a baby sister of the human kind.  She busted out some great smiles during her shoot and Lucky was a great little host.   And be sure to check out this little sweeties girlie girl nursery, so pretty!!   Thank you again Lucky, Mommy, Daddy and baby for having me document your sweet babies welcoming!

Lola’s Little Sister, Hudson Valley Newborn Photographer…

My first visit to this home was on New Years Eve when when I met then Mommy and Daddy to be for their maternity photos.  It was then I had the pleasure to play with Lola, the happy, playful puppy.  Lola is the sweetest pup, very protective of her family.   Now here we are again, and this time Lola is not the star of the show.  But she did make sure she kept a close watch on everything that was going on, especially if it involved her baby sister. Baby “A” is just as tiny and sweet as she was when I first met her, just hours after being born.  Thank you again for having me document the welcoming of your sweet baby girl into your family!

Them Eyes, Hudson Valley Newborn Photographer…

There is no doubt that this little baby girl will have beautiful eyes, just look at her mom and dad.  Mom is not only beautiful, but looks beyond fabulous for just having a baby.  I have to thank mom and dad for inviting me into their home last week and giving me the honor of photographing their precious baby girl.  I can’t wait to help you decorate those new walls with some beautiful pictures. And a special thanks to one of my favorite clients for referring them to me.   Btw mom, I need the name of that lipstick color again, LOVE!

Snow Baby, Hudson Valley Maternity Photographer…

What I love about my clients, is their appreciation for photography and the art that it is.  When I walked into this couple’s home, I could see their love for photography right away.  Their house was decorated with images from their wedding, taken by one of the best wedding photographers in the Hudson Valley.   I was honored to get to hang with these two and their puppy dog as we begin the documentation of welcoming their first baby into their family.  Sorry puppy, first “human” baby ;)

Mommy’s belly was so tiny, I had to get her to stick it out just so we could see it a little bit more.  I am looking forward to the phone call to come meet baby at the hospital.  Stay turned for more!

Born On Christmas Day, Hudson Valley Newborn Photographer…

Introducing baby Beech Tree, she was born on Christmas Day.  What a true gift for mommy and daddy this holiday season.  I was shocked when mommy sent me a note saying that she was here.  I knew she was late, but it never occurred to me that she could actually come on Christmas morning.  Just 24 hours old,  I was lucky to get in to visit her before the big storm came later that day.  Mommy looked like a natural and daddy looked like she was already wrapped around his babies finger.  And how can you not love that skull cap.  I know you can’t tell, but it is actually pink.  So cute!!!  So mommy gave daddy this wonderful gift for Christmas, how does daddy upstage this one?
