Newborn sessions can normally range from 2-3 hours, depending on the baby. This little guy set a new record, one hour. He was just a sweet tiny little guy who let me do my thing, while he just slept the morning away. Not only that, in all the time he spent in his birthday suit, not one baby accident. He puppy made for a great protector. And this puppy didn’t mind being the star of the show either, such a good dog.

The Protector
I first chatted with this momma to be, a couple of months ago when she called about me doing her maternity/newborn photos. I loved our conversation the phone, she sounded fun and sweet, but then asked her her due date. To find out, she is due a week before me. I questioned whether or not I could do this, but she talked me into it. And I am so glad she did. These two are just a fantastic and lovely couple, I had a great time hanging with them this weekend. I told her, maybe we will have our babies at the same time and I can waddle down from my hospital room to hers to do baby photos. So the race is on, who will deliver first?
Great spot but a little high off the ground, how about a boost.
The first time I photographed this family was a couple years ago when the youngest daughter was just a baby. Finally after 3 girls, this family has welcomed a little boy, proudly named after his daddy. I was originally suppose to photograph his birth, but he came 3 weeks early and I was out of town. I was so sad to miss his birth, however I got to meet him on his 7 day birthday. His mommy’s friend knit him the sweet little cocoon that he wore, and I have to say, I want a couple for myself. (HINT HINT) I have seen a ton on ETSY, but nothing compared to the thickness of this one. Baby obviously loved it too, he slept like a champ while bundled up in it. However, the moment I took him out, it didn’t matter how many heaters I had on, he wanted back in.
His big sisters were very patient in waiting for me to take baby’s pictures until it was their turn. How sweet they all were in their pretty blue and yellow dresses.
