Dogs Do Smile, Ulster County Family Photographer…

This picture says it all and not sure I will ever pull it off again…

Flowers At Mohonk, Hudson Valley Children Photographer…

I feel like I have been waiting forever for this session to come.  I originally met this family last fall at a wedding I photographed in Cornwall.  Mommy and daughter served in the wedding party. One of my favorite photos, of that day was of all the flower girls, including this sweetie, running circle in the closet (it was a monster closet).  Back then we talked about getting together for a portrait shoot and here we finally are.  Now that I think about it, I am pretty sure I have photographed half of the wedding party :)   One more half to go.

You didn’t have to twist my arm at all when mom suggested going to Mohonk Mountain House for our session.  Their family has stayed there on many occasions and the grounds are just breath taking.  Mom and I joked about leaving Dad with the kids and running off to the spa.

I had a wonderful afternoon and thank you very much for a beautiful day!

Mr. Clinton, Hudson Valley Baby Photographer…

It has been a while since I have blogged about my family, so I thought I would give you an update on baby Clinton. He is now 6 months old and growing like a little weed.  He is happy and as cute as can be, although he could sleep a little longer during the night {wink wink}.  He is a spitting image of his oldest brother Brayden but shows signs of Kieran every now and then, obviously not the hair.  I took advantage of a happy baby afternoon and spent some time with him and did a mini baby shoot.  Yes, he is a cloth diaper boy :)

Farmer Boy, Ulster County Newborn Photographer…

Two months ago I had the pleasure of working with this family when we did momma’s maternity photos on their farm.  Then just days after Christmas,  their baby boy was welcomed into the world.  Normally I photograph newborns within the first 12 days of life, but unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control, we were not able to meet.  But this week I finally got to head back to the farm and hang out with this sweet little baby and his sister.   Big sister was a lovely little hostess and took great care of both her baby brother and baby doll.

Surprise Photography, Best of 2010

Digging through my three different hard drives, I 1) can’t believe how fast this year went by and 2) feel so luck to have had such a wonderful year. Each year seems to get bigger and better, I hope this never ends. I am so lucky to have had such a wonderful group of clients to work with this year and thankful they you all spread the word about Surprise Photography. I would love to share some of my favorite images from this past year, so if you have a couple moments, grab your beverage and a small snack and enjoy the show:

Happy Holidays…
