Maternity sessions take place between 28-34 weeks. In our pre-session consultations, we’ll discuss your vision and the outcome of your shoot. Sessions can take place on location or in our Poughkeepsie Studio. Several weeks after your session, we’ll meet to go over your proofs and discuss that art that works best for you and your home.
Sessions options include on location, fine art studio portraiture, or milk bath in our vintage clawfoot tub. Clients have access to our studio wardrobe.
Your session fee is a nonrefundable retainer that books your Due Date. It covers the time it takes me to photograph your session the professional editing of your images. It does NOT include any photos, prints, digital files or products.
NEWBORN

Posed newborn sessions take place within the first 2-3 weeks of life in our Poughkeepsie studio.
We offer two types of sessions
Full Artistic Session –
Full sessions include a combination of family, sibling, and creative newborn portraits. Sessions typically last 2-3 hours.

Mini Artistic Session
Mini sessions are ideal for those who are looking for a couple of creative images of their newborn. Sessions are about 45 minutes, baby only, and include a couple of pillow posed and wrapped poses.

What’s included with your session
A pre-session consultation to discuss color palates and vision. Our studio provides all the props and fabrics for your newborn session.

Your Session Fee is a non-refundable retainer that books your Due Date. It covers the time it takes me to photograph your baby and the professional editing of your images. Your session fee also includes a product credit to use towards our catalog of products at your reveal, including prints, canvas, albums, digital etc. Digital negatives are NOT included in your session fee.
MILESTONE MINI SESSION
“Let me love you a little more before you’re not little anymore”
Milestone sessions are specifically for babies who are 6, 9, and 12 months old. Our timeless, classic look, are all about capturing the sweet milestones that happen in the first year of your baby’s life!
What’s included with your session
Each session is about 30 minutes in our studio, includes 2-3 set-ups. Decor includes vintage and antique props and designer outfits and headpieces. If you have specific requests, we can discuss that prior to your shoot.

Your session fee also includes a product credit to use towards our catalog of products including prints, canvas, albums, digital etc. Digital negatives are not included in your session fee. FAMILY

With our fun and artistic approach, we’re a bit different than most family portrait photographers. We stylize compositions artistically and photograph you together authentically. The images will garner an incredible sense of variety and beauty that perfectly portrays your family.
What’s included with your session
Each session is photographed on-location, and typically ranges 60-90 minutes. Location is discussed prior to your session to meet your vision and goals with your session. You’ll be invited to our style and select account, to help you piece together your session wardrobe, helping you take the stress out of figuring out, “what to wear.”

Surprise Photography doesn’t do cookie-cutter – we offer custom high school senior shoots that scream YOU.
Full Experience: Buckle up for a 2-hour extravaganza with multiple outfit changes and locations. Perfect for those who want to blend their passions like sports, dance, or theater into their portraits.
Petite Experience: Short, sweet, and oh-so-stylish! Get your portraits done in a jiffy, whether you’re all about sports or just want to look fab—quick sessions, either in our studio or nearby, lasting around 30 minutes.
